Welcome!
|
Welcome, noble
surfer of the interwebs, to the website of Trinity Gamers
Society. We can already answer one of your many questions. "What do I
do now?", to which the reply is "Don't panic! Relax and take a seat,
cause you've found the best Gaming Society there is". Gamers is the
most
active society in Trinity, with members that stay dedicated to the
society many years after they have left the college. There is no
Society Room as active as ours! Gamers provides
our members with a place to play games, socialise, participate in
expeditions through interdimensional portals hidden in demon couches
and most importantly have fun.
You like fun, don't you?
As for what we do, we play games!
- We play boardgames.
From Monopoly to Magblast, from Scrabble to Settlers of Catan, we've
got most of the ones you've ever heard of and many more, some of which
we've never heard of!
- We play cardgames. We play Magic the Gathering, the Spoils,
Legend of the Five Rings, the World of Warcraft TCG and many others.
Though the Poker Society never likes it when we use playing cards...
-
We play roleplaying games. Whether it's slaying dragons, or being a
tragi-comic elf, or your happy to serve Friend Computer, or you've
always wanted to ride a bantha across the
plains of Tatooine, you can
sit down, roll a few dice, and be transported to a world of merriment
and whimsy.
- We do live-action roleplaying. Trinity Gamers has links with
many LARPing and LRPing organisations such as the Camarilla and Lorient
Trust. In case you're wondering at the distinction, LRPing is the one
where you get to whack people with foam swords, whereas LARPing is the
one with improvisational theatre and assassination plots. Sounds fun,
don't it?
- We do.....everything else too! Anything related to gaming, be it
organising LAN nights for our members, gaming evenings in local pubs,
trips to conventions in Ireland and elsewhere; Gamers is your portal to
a good time in Trinity and beyond.
So what do you have
to do to join? Come along to our Society
Room, see us at our stall during Freshers'
Week or log on to our forum
and we'll help with the rest!"
